larval development

I take this back..if 'part-of' is being reserved to mean "physically a 
part of" then of course if something is part of something else in time 
as in "post-embryonic development" and "larval development"..then as 
David said, these could not have a "part_of" relationship to each other.

In this case..I would agree with David...it's an "is a"...
