From camon at ebi.ac.uk Tue Oct 3 07:31:14 2006 From: camon at ebi.ac.uk (Evelyn Camon) Date: Tue, 03 Oct 2006 15:31:14 +0100 Subject: MIMIx Message-ID: <45227432.8090004@ebi.ac.uk> Hi, The IntAct team at EBI have been involved in creating a mimimal information for an interaction experiment (MIMIx). This paper has now been placed on the NBT website for community-review prior to publication. You may view it at www.nature.com/nbt/consult. Please take time to read it and feel free to send your comments to NBT - also please send the URL on to anyone else who may be interested. Many of the problems are not unique to interaction curation, which is why the GO consortium added their support, as many of us spend time searching for missing protein identities. cheers, Evelyn -- Evelyn Camon GOA Coordinator Senior Scientific Curator European Bioinformatics Institute Tel:01223-494465 Fax:01223-494468 E-mail: camon at ebi.ac.uk URL: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/goa From camon at ebi.ac.uk Mon Oct 23 06:48:23 2006 From: camon at ebi.ac.uk (Evelyn Camon) Date: Mon, 23 Oct 2006 14:48:23 +0100 Subject: Handy GO tool: Generic GO Term Mapper Message-ID: <453CC827.4070301@ebi.ac.uk> http://go.princeton.edu/cgi-bin/GOTermFinder Hi I just wanted to let you all know that John Matese has added GOA-chicken and GOA-Cow gene association files to his GO term Finder tool. He is working on GOA-UniProt (all species file) but that will take a little longer to implement. The Generic GO Term Mapper is a tool for mapping the granular GO annotations for genes in a list to a set of broader, high-level GO parents terms (sometimes referred to as GO Slim terms), allowing you to bin your genes into broad categories. cheers, Evelyn -- Evelyn Camon GOA Coordinator Senior Scientific Curator European Bioinformatics Institute Tel:01223-494465 Fax:01223-494468 E-mail: camon at ebi.ac.uk URL: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/goa
