Hi,

There have recently been two content meetings to improve the
cardiovascular physiology and muscle-related parts of the GO graph. The
cardiovascular physiology meeting was held by RGD at the Medical College
of Wisconsin, and the muscle meeting was held by the TRAIT database at
the University of Padova in Italy.

In the cardiovascular physiology effort 119 new terms were added and 23
terms were modified.
Further details of the work can be found at
http://gocwiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Cardiovascular_physiology/development

In the muscle effort 159 new terms were added and 57 terms were modified.
Further details of the work can be found at
http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Muscle_Development

The changes are now ready to go in to the live GO file and will be
committed on Monday 29th October. If you would like any modifications
made before then, please do send comments.

The file is at
http://cvsweb.geneontology.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/go/scratch/gene_ontology_cardio.obo

There are instructions below on how to see the specific terms that were
changed.

Best wishes,

Jennifer Deegan
(On behalf of the cardiovascular physiology and muscle working groups)

To view the terms:

In OBO-Edit 1.101
http://oboedit.org/

Load the file linked above.
Go to advance search and choose 'Term filtering'.
In the Term filter window choose [self] [dbxref] [contains] 'muscle' to
see the muscle terms.
In the Term filter window choose [self] [dbxref] [contains] 'cardio' to
see the cardiovascular physiology terms.

If you would like to see the terms highlighted in a different colour
then you can search the help guide on 'global render' to find out how to
do this. The same search criteria as above will enable the render
interface to find the terms.
