Dear GO Consortium,
My group has recently been funded (in part) to develop ontology
quality metrics and quality assurance tools using NLP technology.
One of our hopes is that we can produce tools that are useful to the
GO Consortium. We're planning to hold a working meeting associated
with the PSB conference during their tutorial day, January 4;
conference info can be found at http://psb.stanford.edu.
The purpose of the working meeting is to present some preliminary
results for feedback and to help us identify priority areas for our
first year's effort. Since being useful to the GOC is one of our
goals, having GO people at this meeting is important to us.
Since many GO-associated folks have attended PSB over the years, I
assumed that this would be a good location. However, Suzi just
suggested to me that with tightening budgets and no directly ontology-
focused session this year, my assumptions may be wrong.
Are any of you planning to be at PSB this year, and able to attend
our Jan 4 working group? Would you be more likely to come with
some partial travel support?
