Dear GO,

The proposal has been made to obsolete

   dipeptidyl-peptidase and tripeptidyl-peptidase activity ; GO:0016806

Annotations to these terms exist as listed below:

   gene_association.GeneDB_Spombe.gz
   IEA	non-IEA	total
   0	2	2

   gene_association.cgd.gz
   IEA	non-IEA	total
   1	0	1

   gene_association.fb.gz
   IEA	non-IEA	total
   0	2	2

   gene_association.sgd.gz
   IEA	non-IEA	total
   0	1	1

   gene_association.tair.gz
   IEA	non-IEA	total
   0	1	1

The reason for obsoleting this term is that it represents two activities.

Annotations should be transferred to one or both of the child terms (which
will be moved up):

   dipeptidyl-peptidase activity ; GO:0008239
   tripeptidyl-peptidase activity ; GO:0008240

This term is in the prokaryotic subset maintained in the GO .obo files,
and has one non-exact EC mapping:

EC:3.4.14 > GO:dipeptidyl-peptidase and tripeptidyl-peptidase activity ; GO:0016806

This is connected with the peptidase activity overhaul, documented on the
wiki:

   wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Proteases

Comment period ends on September 4, 2008.

*** Unless objections are received by September 4,
we will assume that you agree to this change. ***

Thanks,
Midori
