The most recent monthly report on ontology content, for September 2008, is

Ontology development highlights from August:

   * Once again, we've made lots of progress on several ongoing efforts:

 	* Processes involved in cellular component organization 
(http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Cellular_component_processes).

         * New term additions for PAMGO 
(http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Category:Content_PAMGO).

         * Overhaul of signal transduction process terms 
(http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Signaling).

         * Taxon-based "triggers" for annotation quality control (previously 
referred to as "taxon links") for GO terms 
(http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Taxon-GO_Implementation_April_2008_onwards#July_18th).

         * Function-process links for electron transport and metabolic pathways 
(http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Function-Process_Links).

         * Quality control work connected with the regulation terms and for 
terms with more than one part_of parent 
(http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Ontology_Quality_Control).

We'll continue working on all of these topics in October, but we'll also 
devote some time to preparing for the GOC meeting in Montreal.
