Dear GO,

The proposal has been made to obsolete

insertion or deletion editing ; GO:0016550
posttranscriptional insertion or deletion editing ; GO:0016551
cotranscriptional insertion or deletion editing ; GO:0016552

A single annotation to GO:0016550 exists:

   	DB total
 	GeneDB_tbrucei	1 IDA

The other two terms are not used in any annotations at present.

The reason for obsoleting these terms is that each one actually represents
two separate processes (insertion nd deletion).

These terms are not in any GO slims or subsets maintained in the
gene_ontology_write.obo file, nor are they used in any external mappings.

Two terms will be suggested for transferring annotations:

   RNA nucleotide insertion ; GO:0070705
   RNA nucleotide deletion ; GO:0070706

Comment period ends on June 24, 2009.

*** Unless objections are received by June 24,
we will assume that you agree to this change. ***

Thanks,
Midori
