Hi,

Jane and I are writing the outreach and advocacy report for June now. If
you have done anything to bring on new annotation groups, or to teach
users about GO then we'd really appreciate if you could add your report
directly to the wiki:
http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Outreach_June_2009_Report

If you have given any GO talks, or produced GO posters or papers then it
would be great if you could also post these at:
http://wiki.geneontology.org/index.php/Publications%2C_Talks%2C_Posters_2007-2009

May Report
==========

May was a good month for outreach and advocacy, with several new
developments:

* Jim Hu and Debby Siegele attended the American Society for
Microbiology Conference on Undergraduate Education (ASMCUE), where they
discussed the importance of GO for microbiology, and using GONUTS in
education.

* Alexander Diehl attended the first NIGMS Cell Behavior Ontology
Workshop, May 4-6, 2009, as the invited representative of the GO
Consortium, where he gave a talk "Introduction to the Gene Ontology" and
provided advice on ontology development during the workshop sessions of
the meeting.

* GO News site is launched!

Thanks for letting us know about these events, and please keep the news
coming.

Best wishes,

Jennifer Deegan
GO Curator
