Hello,

The proposal has been made to obsolete:

epidermal growth factor receptor activating ligand activity GO:0005155
epidermal growth factor receptor inhibiting ligand activity, GO:0005156

GO:0005156 is not used in any annotations. GO:0005155 is used in the
following annotations:

gene_association.fb.gz
GO ID IEA non-IEA total
GO:0005155 0 3 3

gene_association.goa_chicken.gz
GO ID IEA non-IEA total
GO:0005155 1 1 2

gene_association.goa_cow.gz
GO ID IEA non-IEA total
GO:0005155 1 0 1

gene_association.goa_human.gz
GO ID IEA non-IEA total
GO:0005155 0 3 3

gene_association.goa_uniprot.gz
GO ID IEA non-IEA total
GO:0005155 4 3 7

gene_association.mgi.gz
GO ID IEA non-IEA total
GO:0005155 0 1 1

gene_association.rgd.gz
GO ID IEA non-IEA total
GO:0005155 0 4 4

gene_association.wb.gz
GO ID IEA non-IEA total
GO:0005155 0 6 6

The terms are not used in any mappings and are not included in any subset
maintained in GO.

Both terms are undefined and represent both a biological process and a
molecular function. Gene products annotated to GO:0005155 may be annotated
to the parent term 'epidermal growth factor receptor binding'. Annotators
may also consider the MF terms: 'transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine
kinase activator activity', 'transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase
inhibitor activity', and the BP term 'regulation of epidermal growth factor
receptor activity.'

*** Unless objections are received by April 1st,
we will assume that you agree to this change. ***

Thanks,

Tanya, Midori and David
