I have submitted a SF item which is relevant to the discussion of 
excessive granularity under (for example) translation/mitochondrial 
translation.

I think, that when we discussed this previously, these terms under 
translation and mitochondrial translation were adding to the confusion 
and making the term explosion look much larger than it really needed to 
be. However, this was caused by a completely different ontology issue 
(function specific processes). This SF item is an attempt to clarify 
this so please monitor this if you are following this thread.
