Yes, a bunch of comparisons in terms of accuracy of translation, speed and
scope are included in:

Sorin Draghici, Sivakumar Sellamuthu, Purvesh Khatri. Babel's tower revisited: a
universal resource for cross-referencing across annotation databases.
Bioinformatics, 22(23):2934-2939, December 2006.

As a word of caution, I have just found out that the translations involving
Swiss-Prot/Trembl, PIR, PDB are currently not working in our tool. That means
our tools currently performs only 357 types translations out of it usual range
of 462 translation types. This was caused by the fact that one of the databases
we relied upon is not longer being maintained. It will take us a couple of weeks
to redesign our database in order to go around this problem.

Regards,

Sorin
