GOA releases: 30 July 2009

GOA (GO Annotation at EBI) is a project run by the European Bioinformatics Institute 
that provides assignments of gene products to the Gene Ontology (GO) resource.

The data can be obtained via:

Important News about changes to the GOA release procedure

Please note that GOA is intending to stop production of the gene_association.goa_uniprot_slimmed.gz file after this release.

Annotations to GO slims can now be generated using GOA's QuickGO tool http://www.ebi.ac.uk/QuickGO). 
QuickGO provides a range of features to help users to create GO slims and map annotations; the tool also 
integrates pre-defined slims, including the GOA slim. 

Information on QuickGO's annotation slimming facilities is available at:

Other files provided in the goa/goslim/ ftp directory will continue to be maintained.
