That is tricky isn't it? 'Host' is a relative location - it only exists 
in relation to the parasite - without a parasite it's just an animal so 
we can't talk about a host cell plasma membrane being a distinct type of 
plasma membrane. I think your fudge is about as good as its going to 
get, Chris.

I've posted my comments about 'parasitophorous vacuole' to the SF item...
