[Ontology-editors] [OBO-Edit Working Group] Synonyms checks

Hi,
I am fixing sensu synonyms just now. Where there is a term with an
expanded name for clarity do you think it would be reasonable to have
the non-expanded name as a broad synonym, if the synonym would be a same
as a parent name? Or shall we just leave people to navigate down from
the parent of the same name?
For example I have:
[i]eye development
---[i]camera-type eye development
camera-type eye development
broad synonym: eye development
Or perhaps related synonym would be good?
I have no preference.
