Thanks much!

They're probably OK, but it might be safest to run them by some of our
prokaryote experts (Michelle, Jim, Debby, etc.). In the past everyone
thought chromatin was a eukaryote-specific feature, and although that
seems to be changing, I did a quick-n-dirty Google search, and found that
there are still at least a few sources that say bacteria don't have
chromatin (e.g. PMID:17148507). I don't know whether you think that's
enough reason to choose different examples.

It seems OK as far as it goes -- what's there looks like enough to make
the distinction for the relationship itself, and beating on it further
probably wouldn't help.
I wonder whether it's worth saying any more about how has_part fits
together with other relations in longer paths ... but even if so, this
page isn't necessarily the place (nor are my thoughts on the subject fully
formed).

Not that I know of. And I plan to declare my neutrality on the subject
early and often.

I like it, and I think the part_of diagrams can (and should - consistency
is a plus) use the same visual convention.
