Hi,

Remember this? When we left it, we'd pretty much agreed to merge the
amino-acid-specific process terms into the parent, as soon as we could
also make part_of

Tanya & David - would these MF-BP links fit in with the ones you're doing?

Subject: [Go] proposal to merge tRNA aminoacylation terms

Dear GO,

In SF 2723153, there is a proposal to merge the amino-acid-specific tRNA
aminoacylation terms with the corresponding general parent.

For example, these two terms (and their siblings, omitted for brevity) would be
merged with the parent GO:0006418 tRNA aminoacylation for protein translation:

   GO:0006419 alanyl-tRNA aminoacylation
   GO:0006420 arginyl-tRNA aminoacylation

(The original request suggests obsoletion, but the proposal has been altered to
merging.)

We would like to know whether there is broad support for this change, so please
reply or comment on the SF item to say whether you think this is a good or bad
idea.

Thanks,
Midori
